Phase I Phase 1 Covers the building of the grade separation for the GO Stouffville line. Phase II Phase II Will start at Meadowvale Rd as that where TTC plans to start the building process in the first place. Phase III Phase III This is to cover the extension to the Toronto Zoo that is north of Sheppard Ave off Meadowvale Rd. Phase IV Phase IV This is to cover the building of a new Carhouse yard for this line, but not sure of the location at this time since TTC has not made that location known. Phase V Phase V This is protection for the Scarborough-Malvern Line that could see the top haft built from Sheppard Ave south to the on that will house the Olympic Pool for the PAN AM Games in 2015 since this line has be deferred to 2020 at this time. With Toronto getting the PAM AM games in 2015, there is a chance the whole S-M line running from Kennedy Station for the Bloor-Danforth Line could see construction for it and this phase will not be require. Welcome to the Sheppard Ave East Pre Construction page

On May 31, 2009, I shot a couple of video's from the car front windshield of what Sheppard Ave looks like today before the building of the new ROW for the Sheppard LRT line got underway. I shot it going east and then going west from the centre lane. The video's have been cut to be place up on youtube site as it was over 30 minutes in each direction. You will have to visit the video and photo page to get the link to these video's. The video's are also on my site, but will take longer to download.

Also in 2009, I did a number of walking tour of Sheppard Ave East from Highway 404 to Meadowvale Road shooting every intersection, bridges, side streets, bus stops as well a number of other things. I plan on doing the same thing after construction is done to do a comparison as before and after shots. I will be doing photo shoots of the construction, but not as much as I did on St Clair Ave as this project is outside my normal trip pattern and a longer trip from Mississauga to get to.

I have put only 20 thumbnail with links to the full size of 3264 x 2448 on each page. All major intersections were shot in 3 direction from each corner as well of the centre of each road in both direction for a total of 16 shots on average. The same thing took place at side streets.

Pages were shot on December 02, 2009 from McCowan Rd to Meadowvale Rd.

Page were shot on December 23, 2009 at the Don Mills Mall Area and not a good day to shoot with all the Christmas traffic on the road. Will re shoot in 2010.
